The Power of Positivity
- Encourage someone today! Tell them, with strong compassion, how capable they are and that they are tough enough to face adversity. Let them know you believe they can do it.

Thank you!
I give the thought a moment of acknowledgment and then I isolate it from my thoughts by focusing on something I am grateful for. I learned that through meditation.
Prior to meditating I would let it linger a bit longer figure out if there is something I can do about it and if not then I would not let it mess up my day
I like this! I’m going to try it.
I liked the video today! It was pretty surprising as well. As a basketball player myself, I will have to keep this in mind and stay positive so I can be on my A-game, and even if I am not making shots, or doing well, I can still be positive and learn.
When I am negative I usually play the music that hypes me up or I hype myself up in another way. But when I am hyped, I am never negative.
I was, but I have seen this and experienced the power of positivity myself. I take a few deep breaths and visualize success. I also like to repeat key mantras or phrases to help me realign my thoughts.
Not really. I always say don’t let Powell get In your head and this video showed why. No special techniques. I just talk to myself through.
I was not surprised by the video. I am constantly telling my son that his negative comments to himself during his practicing is not encouraging or helpful to his game. Maybe the video can explain it better to him.
