  1. A lot of people only break things down into small steps when things are complex or critical. Do you believe it’s worth taking the time to break things down into small steps just because you care about how well you do them or do you just say, “I can handle it”? Please share in the comments.

I love this quote.
Some tasks are so ingrained in routine and I am used to doing the steps effortlessly. Others definitely need careful steps by step execution like event planning and holiday dinners.
This quote makes me think about reassessing my steps to see if they are still the most efficient or just comfort zone automatic pilot

I break things down into smaller steps so I can handle it. If it seems too big or like to much work I always put it off. I find if I do a little at a time itโ€™s easier for me to get through and sometimes much faster. I apply this concept when it comes to housework because I hate it so much. I know the whole house has to be cleaned which is a huge task but if I say today Iโ€™ll do this, this, and this and tomorrow Iโ€™ll do that, that , and that the task doesnโ€™t seem so daunting and before I know it everything is done.

Yes I think that is a great way to think about breaking things down. I think that is a great change in perspective. Not just breaking things down because they are big, but also breaking things down when they are important.

I tend to have the idea that i can handle it when I have a smaller task to do, but now i think that it would be better to think about it in pieces because it will help me do better in those things, and help me get used to doing smaller parts for when i have to do something more complex.

I believe that it is pivotal that you break down complex things into small bites. It allows for us to be able to handle the task whether it be big or small. It also allows us to pace ourselves as we are working as well as deal with failure a lot easier. Taking on big situations, assuming that you can just handle it, could be a setup for failure.

Breaking things down into small pieces gets me going. If I don’t brake it down I am stuck in every way. It is confirming to my decision to move forward with every step I take.

I believe it is worth breaking complex and/or critical things into smaller steps to help give me clarity on how to best tackle and complete them, along with giving me a way to measure any and all progress along the way.

I believe that often, people only break things down when things are very complex. But I think that is not the smartest idea.I think that it is worth your time to break things down into smaller pieces not only yo make it easier for people to look at something, but also give them a chance to think their idea fully through before taking action.

It depends on the task and the goal. Small steps can lead to a great outcome and help complete a goal. But, some things can be accomplished without the steps.

For me I give myself small goals when I am overwhelmed. It helps me to keep moving forward.
