I do not have a problem with motivation, especially with exercising. I do find the rewards from the activity whether it is for me or for someone else propels me to do my best.
It’s not hard for me to get motivated at. As soon as I make the decision to do something I’m all over it. I work as hard as I can at the possible moment and somethings it’s not my hardest but it’s what allows me to continue. It’s all mind control for me. As long as I keep a positive mind I can perform my best.
It isn’t always easy to remain motivated. My energy is directly linked to my mental resiliency. In general, I am ok but when things at work or home start falling off the rails, it saps my energy and motivation. That’s when you really have to kick it in and “do it anyway”…. that’s when the need for strong discipline is required.
The hardest part for me is starting the task but once I start I am able to stay motivated throughout it. I just find that once I am doing something I usually work hard until I finish it.
I totally agree with you Quinn, starting has always been the most difficult part. But once I start, I get the task done
Sometimes it can be hard to get motivated. It is taking the action to break down bigger processes (especially for me right now, that’s all about studying) and just taking the first step.
I agree! I need to break down the bigger processes like writing a paper into smaller chunks and take that first step!
i don’t struggle with motivation. i can make myself have motivation when it’s needed
I don’t usually have a problem being motivated and I’m naturally a very focused person. My
Mentality growing up was get the necessary but “not fun” work done ASAP so I can relax and play. The only time I struggle with focus is when I get distracted by a specific passion project which can take away from other important work. I tend to get mentally obsessed and have to schedule committed blocks of time in my calendar to make sure everything is getting done
I love today’s quote. Tq
I am motivated to do what I love to do. But yes I struggle to feel motivated to exercise. Once I start I get going but if I take a break for some reason, I do make exudes for not doing it.
I just have to determine myself to do the right thing.
I don’t have a problem with motivation for most tasks ( except dusting) and I can stay focused during the task. I think keeping myself to my standards helps me to perform my best.
I never have issues with motivation when it comes to exercising. This is because I mentally want myself to become better. So whenever I feel down I think about the progress and the results I want.
For me it has been harder to stay motivated, however I have recently been able to overcome that difficulty and found motivation for basically everything like going to the gym, studying, learning programming, etc.
I don’t think it is hard for me to stay motivated mainly because I always can get better. Motivation comes to me when I am not satisfied with something, and often, with things I care about, I usually am not satisfied. I don’t know if I am able to work my hardest yet, but I am building towards that everyday.
It’s hardest to stay motivated when I perceive that what I’m doing is unpleasant, a waste of time, or something I’m forced to do versus something I’m doing of my own accord. However, there are many mundane, gross, or irritating tasks, such as data entry, removing bacteria from bathroom spaces, or listening to your sanctimonious boss, that must get done. I try to look for the positive aspects of such events and, thus, turn unwelcome doings into not-so-bad occurrences. I remind myself that the tedious tasks of life are necessary for systems to function and benefit me. I thank GOD for the strength to clean and for the home I have. If Youtube videos show homeless people being content, then I should only rejoice while scrubbing the shower and toilet. Hearing my boss claim that he’s always right can bring a smile when I focus on the fact that I’m gainfully employed while literally millions are out of work and cannot make ends meet. Staying motivated is all about mindset—maintaining a positive frame of mind is key to performing my best.
Great insights! And I agree, I find I am less motivated when it is something I am forced to do like school work versus things I enjoy doing like training.
It is not hard for me to stay motivated for things I enjoy doing. However, sometimes I struggle staying motivated for tasks I am forced to do or tasks I do not enjoy.
