The first one that comes to mind is when a girl on the other team in one of my lacrosse games hit the post even though our goalie was out of the goal and she had a wide open target. Instead of playing it safe and just throwing it in the middle, she went for a good looking shot that ended up backfiring. From there, the team went on to lose the game to us, as they had lacked momentum and failed to bounce back.
I think of my cousin who was an A student but ran with the wrong crowd and made bad decisions. The target of college fell through the cracks and her life continues to be that filled with challenges and mediocrity. That said, she is positive and teaches her children to excel and key lessons from her failures. If you can learn and teach the next generation to be better, you give meaning to your mistakes.
That’s great! Thanks for sharing. I think it is so important to teach the next generation to be better and give them a better life than us.
this is just for any soccer game, sometimes when my team gets ahead by maybe 2 goals the other team starts to fall behind and maybe they don’t give as much effort to run to the ball because they know we will get it. if they’ve missed a lot of shots then the tend to dribble more and take safer shots. this isn’t every game but it has happened before.
My cousin is an great drive and he actually is about to get his real license and soon he can really be free. However when he took his drivers test last year he failed within the first 20 seconds. This was simply as he said, he got nervous and very fidgety and this made he unconsciously forget about the present and think about the future. This caused him to miss the stop sign right next to him and he failed the test. However he realizes his mistake and when he returned he aced it.
A story I know is when my friend was throwing discus in a big meet we were preparing for and was trying to beat her personal record. We get three throws and on her first one she fouled really badly. Instead of finishing her last two throws where she could have done rly good, she quit, didnโt finish and left the meet.
Oh that’s really sad to hear. I wish she would have completed her final two throws. Is she going to continue to compete in discus in the future?
I can’t think of any 1 particular story but I have witnessed people make many bad choices which led them to missing the target.
I know plenty of people, but mainly myself. I believe I always bounce back.
