I agree with the video on how you have to surround yourself with good people. You will pick up the habits with people you are around. You will also not learn if you are around bad people. I also agree with the video on how most of the time we are our biggest enemy.

The only thing I learned that has become super handy is not to put off for tomorrow what could be done today because you never know what tomorrow holds. I learned this the hard way when it came to cleaning the house. I would say oh, I’ll wash those little but of dishes or fold those few clothes tomorrow and then the end of the week comes and I have piles and joe I’m scrambling to get everything done.

i really liked this quote and i feel it shows how you shouldn’t change your goal you just might have to change your path.

I have been meal planning for almost 30 years ( I don’t think it was called that back then though) I cook 4 -5 different proteins every Sunday with healthy sides so I do not have to stress about healthy lunches or dinners for my family.
The part about eating the same thing 4 days a week to lose weight has been a constant part of my lifestyle for over 20 years because although it can be tedious, nothing tastes better than my clothes fitting and the scale behaving reasonably.
As for dedication to my workout. It started with my super friend abs sister April and Billy Blanks. I still love working out and walking with her but our schedules do not allow that very often.
But, we both get it in
The message here is I am grateful for the ability to push myself to work out almost every day. It’s nice to have company but I do not get on the scale with anyone but me abs I alone fit in my clothes so I have to be my own spark.
Lastly, meditation had truly enhanced my life by calming my mind and focus
Thanks for letting me share!

For helpful hacks, I think back to those wise sayings and practices modeled to me by previous generations of relatives. Here are a few tried and true ones:
•Haste makes waste
•If you fail to plan, you plan to fail
•Don’t cut corners
•Work first and play later
•Always eat breakfast
•Live below your means
•Pay GOD and yourself a regular tithe
•Ask for help or delegate tasks when you’re overwhelmed
•Excellence in everything you do

Although I feel like I am a flexible person, I am pretty structured with my day to day and it helps to get things done. On Sunday I always plan out the meals for the week, so when I shop on Monday I buy what I need for meals. During the week after I drop the kids at school, I exercise so I can get that done for the day. After exercise I take the dog for a walk so she gets her exercise. After her walk I can start my tasks for the day.

Hey, Adriane, your post resonated with me because I iron my work clothes for the week on Sunday and pack my lunches in bowls a few days in advance. It’s so helpful to plan ahead, huh? It’s been a while since my kids were little but I’m sure your pre-planning strategies make things easier by taking stuff off your full plate, freeing up quality time to spend with your family and time alone doing whatever makes you happy.

A helpful hack I use is to wake up and do something productive to check off your list, so you have already created a positive experience when you wake up. The first thing I always do is just to make my bed.

I don’t know if this is a hack or not, but when I wake up in the morning I set around 5 alarms each 5 minutes apart and I keep the phone farther away from me so if I want to turn it off, I have to stand up and go turn it off. This way I am forced to get up to turn off the alarm and if I go back to bed after, in another 5 minutes it will ring again.

Yes , agree with the video. Surrounding yourself with certain people , you tend to pick up on things they do.

A helpful hack is to drink a lot of water in the morning.

For me these help sooo much
1) put your goals where you constantly see them, like a vision board. I also love to make a goal list every January in Google Sheets and I reference it to guide me frequently
2) have accountability partner or squad. I’ve been working out at 7:30 the last few weeks (which seemed impossible before because I was sleeping until 8:30-9) but I stick with it because I’ve committed to doing the workout virtually with a friend
3) surround yourself with motivated and focused people, they really fuel you up and hype you up when you’re not feeling “in the zone”

I don’t really use too many helpful hacks except for when i’m on the computer, I use a lot of keyboard shortcuts like ctrl t to open a new tab, and ctrl n to open a new window. It saves me time and helps me get more things done.

I have a hack to reduce screen time. It involves turning your phone to black and white from color. This helps limit screen time because your phone is not as appealing to you without color. To do this, go into settings-accesabilities-display & text size- Color filter and then change it to greyscale there.
