Thank you for persisting with these posts. I am growing and changing in ways that are impacting me, my family and those around me. I am learning about myself and enjoying my journey more. I did not know how much I can accomplish with 1% change a day.

1 walk over a mile as part of my daily routine so adding jumping jacks.

Common excuse – my family comes first; therefore I can’t focus on my career or moving myself to the next level professionally.

Instead of professing this excuse daily, I am working on daily prioritization. I am prioritizing what matter in the moment. Sometimes it’s fixing dinner for my family. Something it’s ordering dinner and taking the time to complete a deliverable that gets me closer to my goal. Deliberate prioritization will enable me to progress in my career while maintaining my hierarchy of “most important”.

I did jumping jacks for 1 minute. I think the most common excuse I make for myself is “this is just how I am”. In context, it is when others have done more to prepare (like playing lacrosse year round since they were 10) than I have, I use it as an excuse when I don’t do as well. I think I should use their preparation and skill as a drive to learn from them and make myself better instead.

I will let you know which exercise I do once I do it. The thing I am making excuses on doing is watching my film. I usually say, “it’s too much” or “it’s too cringe to watch my mistakes”. Instead I need to say, “this is making me better and look at it like you are studying, not as a fan”. I also need to break it up into smaller pieces so it doesn’t seem so scary.

I think my most used excuse is either “I’m chilling” or “I’m tired”. It’s a quote from a rapper that I choose to recite when I use these excuses. “Chill never paid the bills”. It helps me reevaluate my decision and do more

The most common excuse I make for myself is that I don’t have enough time, even if I do. To empower myself I can flip this by saying, I can make time or I can do a little chunk of it in the time that I do have.

I choose jumping jacks. The funny thing is that I do both everyday. Anyway, my most common excuse is ‘ it’s only one day’. I can flip this by saying ‘this day will make a difference in the long run.”

My biggest abd longest running excuse is @i want to wait until after my birthday”
I have to have a potentially life changing conversation and I am avoiding the stress of the usual response in the issue. The excuse basically is causing more stress but I dig in and believe that I’ve dealt with the issue this long, a few more weeks won’t hurt.
To empower myself I do my best to remember that 90% of my life is beautiful and I don’t let the other 10% steal my joy and it works most of the time.
The meditation has helped tremendously
I will check back in after my walk

I walked the mile, it is a nice day out and I knew I would probably burn more calories walking the mile.

1. I’m Not cleared to do any physical exercise so I have to skip this part.
2. My excuse is, if I really don’t want do something, I’ll get to it later because I have other, more important, things to do.

I loved the growth mindset chart you shared today. I took a picture and sent it to my kids to remind them to live on the right side of the chart. I ran this morning and it fell great- especially with the sun out. My excuse is “ I ran out of time.” I can flip this by finding a little time for myself instead- even if it is just 15 minutes a day.

I chose jumping jacks. My excuse is “ill get to it later because I don’t have enough time”. Im learning to prioritize completing small task that take me to completion of the bigger goal. 5 min here and there add up to a lot and I can get a lot done if I put my mind to it.

I walked a mile, more than a mile three miles. I can get it done tomorrow because (the conditions will be better). I will have more time, I will be more awake, I am too scared 😨 to get much accomplished. Do it today and that’s one more thing behind me.
