The thought that failure didn’t exist in Kobe’s view really is a good way to live. It does not give us an excuse to settle for mediocre or average. I should give rise to understanding and learning what you need to do to improve whatever you are striving to do.
Great clip! Much needed! It’s not only about the pursuit of success. Instead the pursuit of consistent improvements to be the best we can be

I thought that was a great video. It shows how Kobe lives in the moment and doesn’t look at anything as success or failure, but instead ways to learn. Helps you to understand his greatness, he was always learning and improving.

I completely agree with Kobe. There are many things I’ve tried that were not successful. But I was always learning and getting closer to what would work. So I can’t fail but I can stop trying. But I will NEVER stop trying and there is comfort in that fact.

I agree with Kobe, that “failing” is a part of our process, and that if we take failing as just another step to reach our goals and learn from them, it is not a failure at all.

I have struggled with this concept for a long time. A majority of my childhood and teen years I believed that if I failed, it meant that I was a failure. Due to this mindset I would not acknowledge my failures as such and would label it differently so I didn’t feel bad.

I’ve now learned that failure is not only a necessary part of life but also that it doesn’t make me a failure. I am working to embrace my failures and call them what they are, learn from them, and try again, no longer afraid.

I agree with Kobe. I used to be afraid of failure but now I have a growth mindset. I am working to keep improving my mindset and embrace failing and adjusting.

I do agree with Kobe. The only failure is to stop going. No matter how bad you feel, you haven’t failed yet. You can still do better and get better from this situation. I feel like each situation is just like an experiment to understand where you are (not physically the location you are in). Use the information from the experiment as you choose, but I think that it would be wise to understand how and what you can do better next time.

I agree 100% with Kobe. You can’t come out the door all the time winning so when you loose you take those mistakes and you learn from them so that you it doesn’t happen again. I believe we are constantly learning and improving and once we stop learning that’s when everything fails.

Yes!! Loved his interview (and made me very sad that he is no longer with us). His message was all about “failure” being a part of the process to learn and grow. If you are learning, you aren’t failing. Therefore failure doesn’t exist… unless u stop learning. Good stuff!

Failure to me is a part of Life’s learning tools as well the part of the road to success. Kobe’s thoughts are also valid.

I totally agree with Kobe. I love when he said that failure doesn’t exist and is just a part of our imagination. Failure only means what we want it to mean, we can either learn and grow from it or not do anything about it. Failure is something that makes us learn and grow stronger.

You had a drawing of a key that opened the door to success. The shape of the key spelled failure… We have to mess up to figure out what works.

It is And interesting take but I actually agree.. he is basically saying that when things doesn’t go the way you would like try again , figure out what happened. So it’s a continuous journey until you stop trying and learning.
