I feel that overall I am motivated to achieve success. But I also think sometimes when I am doing something I am just trying to avoid failure. Instead of just trying to get by without failing, I should try my best and if I fail I should learn from that.

Motivate to achieve success. Smashing my goals, even the littlest ones makes more go harder. Failure is nothing but a lesson to me. It just shows me one way didn’t work so try anther.

I love the JK Rollins story. Definitely more motivated to achieve success, failure will happen I learned this very young. This is why sports and activities are good. When I was growing up adults we’re way quicker to just say, “You lost or practice more and you’ll get better. ” I believe one of the greatest things we can learn in life is to fail with dignity and KEEP TRYING until you succeed.

I am motivated by both. It goes back and forth, want success in the beginning but went it gets hard, then I don’t want to fail and push through.

I hear you, Loris. It really depends on my perspective. Here’s a question… During the course of an average day, do you more often motivated to achieve success or avoid failure?

I would say motivated by achieving success. I’m willing to embrace failure because I can learn from it and start over with wisdom and experience.

It all depends on the situation or, rather, how I perceive the circumstances. For example, I’m more motivated to avoid failure when I’m doing something that I dread, such as tedious data entry for work. If I fail to get it done in time, the possibility of being reprimanded by a supervisor is likely. Now, if I’m doing something I am interested in or passionate about, like being creative or ministry, then I’m motivated to achieve success.

Avoiding failure is not a motivator for me. This is because avoiding failure is impossible. I am going to fail, and I will own it and improve. I am motivated to achieve success because I really crave success and I want to know how it feels to achieve major success.
